Four Friday Favorites: Podcast Edition
Focus on the Family, Culture Translator, Risen Motherhood, & Paul Tripp
These are four of my favorite podcasts, I’d love to hear yours too!
Focus on the Family: My husband and I regularly listen to this podcast focusing on matters of faith, family, and marriage. I really appreciated a recent episode on how to support those with mental illness.
“Dr. Matthew Stanford offers a compassionate look at mental illness, which affects one in five teens and adults in the United States. He discusses the need for overcoming the stigma of reaching out for help and encourages the church community to offer hope and healing for families with loved ones suffering with mental health issues.”
Culture Translator: This podcast offers quick perspectives on modern events from a biblical perspective. I appreciate their reflection questions at the end and their nuanced opinions.
Risen Motherhood: My favorite motherhood podcast! A great mix of practical advice and scriptural truths. They just finished an abundance series about finding our strength in the Lord.
Paul Tripp: I’ve read many of Paul Tripp’s books, but I was excited to find his podcast, Wednesday Word: 5 Minute Devotionals. I’d highly recommend his work for quick encouragements throughout the day because, “The conscious and intentional worship of God is the highest calling and most wonderful thing you could ever do. Because it is, it is a prime location for spiritual war. The enemy of your soul will do anything he can to keep you from participating fully, from hearing clearly, and from committing to God” (Paul Tripp).
I’d love to hear yours down below!
PS: You can find more favorites here!
PPS: I experimented with podcasting my birth story last week.
I also didn’t know Paul Tripp had a podcast, I’ll have to check it out! I’m not much of a listener, more of a reader, but I listen to Knowing Faith and Lifeway (when they put out bible study sessions)
Another fan of Risen Motherhood here! A Drink With a Friend, The Newsworthy, The Lazy Genius Podcast, and Work and Play with Nancy Ray are a few of my other favorites.
