365(ish) Words to Describe 2023

This was a year of change and transition. Dealing with spit-up, diapers, and sickness. Learning to cope with sleepless nights, long days, and longer nights. And trying to find the ever-changing balance between rest and work. Through all of this, it’s been good to reflect on the Lord’s goodness.
But it’s easy for me to forget His goodness and focus on my worries. I started writing with the goal of renewing my mind with the gospel as it says in Romans 12, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
My ways are far from perfect, that’s why I need the truths of the gospel to think through tricky topics like motherhood, anxiety, and fear. Below is a list of the things I’ve been learning this year, enjoy!

What I’m Learning in 2023
How to reflect on big milestones, like my baby being 1!!
Finding joy in the mundane.
Figuring out how to work and rest—even with a baby.
Traveling locally and nationally with a little one.
Managing stress.
Reminding myself that Christ is enough.
Finding strength in God’s grace & boasting in that instead of myself.
Putting my phone down.
Working through my fears.
Discerning through truths and lies.
Learning How to be a Mother and Wife
As I became a mom, I realized that prioritizing marriage became harder and harder. I noticed that our culture focused on the challenging parts of marriage. I wanted to highlight the beauty of marriage & motherhood despite the challenges of sleepless nights and parenting differences.
But motherhood also brought beauty to my marriage—a shared joy, purpose, and mission. I hope you enjoy these essays about marriage and motherhood.
